Meek Mill Clears the Air After Being Accused of Being Petty to Nicki Minaj

Meek Mill seems to have finally reached the end of his post-breakup petty streak with girlfriend and rap mogul Nicki Minaj.

But that hasn’t stopped social media from reaching anyway, and their latest grab is an Instagram photo that seemingly took a shot at Ms. Minaj’s icy jewelry.

When the MMG rapper posted a picture of his hand with a three-banded diamond-studded ring to his Instagram on Wednesday (Jan. 18), Baller Alert reposted the photo for its peculiar similarities to one of Nicki’s older pictures.

In the “Feeling Myself” femcee’s flick, what appears to be the exact same ring is fitted on her outstretched hand, in the same fashion as Meek’s from his current photo. The caption on his picture is a duo of strange emojis: an ear and a zipped-lip face. When Baller Alert compared the photos side by side in their repost, however, Meek flipped the accusation of petty play back onto the celebrity gossip site instead.

“Y’all gotta let me breathe a little bit with all these made up stories, Lol,” he commented. “Who’s paying y’all?”

The accusation does, however, follow one of Meek’s prior Instagram teases at the breakup involving a certain shoe on a certain rapper from a certain video. It didn’t take the internet long to put two and two together once he posted a shoe that the Barbz rocked in Ciara’s “I’m Out” video, labeling the Giuseppe Zanotti wedge sneaker as “whack.” If what he’s claiming as no shade this time happens to be true, we’re glad to learn he’s not fiddling in anymore child’s play.
